A free pamphlet zine formatted like a scientific article discusses the “findings” of a “scientific” study of AI art and its similarities to nature. These free zines and associated prints were given out at Weird Corpus’ PaperCut Zine Fest 4.
Perceptions and uses of AI technologies in the creative process continue to evolve.
After its publication in 2022, new questions quickly replaced the concerns addressed in the zine. Some of these questions are listed below:
What constitutes fair use of artist owned images?
Is data scraping and compiling artist created images into AI training datasets ethical?
How should large well-funded tech companies compensate the creative sources of their data?
