Bio

Clay Reuter grew up drawing, playing tennis, and exploring nature in Corpus Christi, Texas. These early interests led him to study anthropology and art at Trinity University before earning his MBA from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Clay builds curious and active communities through creative programming at the Art Museum of South Texas and tennis instruction at the Corpus Christi Country Club. His artistic practice continues this focus on human connection and the natural world through surreal depictions of personal artifacts and familiar landscapes. By combining drawing with repurposed cardboard, styrofoam, and molded paper pulp, he brings a playful perspective to serious concepts like emotional literacy and environmental change.
